Terry Gant of TCC talks Black Super Heroes!

The documentary White Scripts and Black Supermen is a part of th 18th Annual Black Harvest Film Festival at the Gene Siskel Film Center through August 30th, 2012.  

This film is an in-depth examination of superheroes shaped around racial stereotypes. Filled with colorful illustrations and clips, White Scripts and Black Supermen will allow you to revisit your childhood with a critical eye.
 
There will be two screenings, Sunday, August 26th, 5:15pm and Monday, August 27th, 6:00pm.
 
After the Monday screening there will be a Q&A panel featuring Brian Babylon, host of the radio show “Morning AMp” on Vocalo.org, Terry Gant, owner of Third Coast Comics, and Professor Stanford Carpenter from the School of Art Institute of Chicago and Chairman of the Board of the Institute for Comic Studies.
