The Chicago Doctor Who Meetup
Wednesday June 19th at 7:30 PM
Fans of both the classic and new series, as well as Sherlock Holmes devotees, should make a point of RSVPing for our June showing of The Talons of Weng-Chiang, a sordid tale involving the theater, a Chinese magician, a "pig monkey assassin" (yes, there is an in-story explanation), great atmosphere and....well, one of the greatest Doctor Who stories ever told.
(Yes, new series fans, you must see this, and if you like Sherlock Holmes, you're also invited!)
Yes, this is a six-parter (meaning that it runs about two and a half hours) - this means we're going to start in a timely manner, and will break after episode three. (Which means that you may need to plan for a long night).
But please make a point of RSVPing soon - slots will disappear for this unique event, where you'll get to see one of the creative high points of classic Doctor Who.

Chicago Guitarists Open Mic/Social/Guitar Jam
Some of you may know this but I'm a bit of an amatuer guitar player & a member of the Chicago Guitarists Mettup Group. We are having our monthly Open Mic/Guitar Jam/Social but this month we're at Third Coast Comics.
I'm inviting any of you comics reading musicians (or comics reading music fans) to come by and play with us.
The format is very relaxed. We are open to ultra beginners. Never hesitate to talk "music" with any of us. Getting out of or expanding our comfort zone is the evening's objective.
Third Coast Comics is a retail store in a residential building soooo we might have to be completely done by 1:00 am
